For generations, Holmes Presbyterian Church has been a steady presence on Virginia’s Eastern Shore—gathering people of all ages and backgrounds to worship God, care for one another, and serve our neighbors.
Founded in 1846, our congregation continues to reflect the character of the Shore itself: faithful, welcoming, and grounded in community.
Our people include farmers, teachers, medical professionals, watermen, retirees, and young families. We come together each Sunday to sing, pray, and grow in faith—and to find strength for the week ahead.
We believe the church is at its best when worship leads to service. Whether it’s bringing food to the local pantry, sending cards and care packages, or joining hands in prayer, our life together is about sharing God’s love in practical ways.
Holmes is a place where names are known, faith is lived out, and everyone belongs. We invite you to come and experience that for yourself.
