Worship

Worship is at the heart of life at Holmes. Each Sunday, we gather in the sanctuary to pray, sing, listen for God’s Word, and share in community. Our worship follows a traditional Presbyterian order—rooted in scripture, enriched by music, and centered on the good news of Jesus Christ.
Worship at 11:00 a.m.
Adult Sunday School at 10:00 a.m.
Fellowship at 9:45 a.m.
You’ll hear the familiar hymns of the church played by our music director, Evelyn Burton, along with occasional guitar accompaniment. The music, scripture, and message come together to help us draw closer to God and to one another.

Sunday School
All are welcome to join our Adult Sunday School class as we explore and learn together about the Word of God and how it applies to our daily lives. Led by the Holy Spirit, discussions often touch on situations we each may be navigating—helping us understand our roles as Christians in today’s world.
Summer Schedule: Sunday School pauses between Memorial Day and Labor Day, with worship beginning at 10:00 a.m. during those months.
Communion
The Sacrament of Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month. All who trust in Jesus Christ are invited to share in the bread and cup, a sign of God’s love and grace for all people.
Children in Worship
We welcome everyone to worship—children included. Wiggles and whispers are part of life, and we’re glad to have them. Our ushers can provide worship bags for little ones or show you to a quieter space if needed.
However you come—curious, joyful, weary, or hopeful—you’ll find a place to belong and a community ready to worship beside you.
